Internships
Don't wait until senior year to do an internship! It's never too early to apply for an internship to learn about potential career paths, build up your resume, and create a professional network. You can apply to paid or unpaid internships, and any internship can be taken for credit at Regis toward your English major or minor.
To start your internship search, consult Regis's internship office and Center for Career and Professional Development. Try using Indeed.com, Monster.com, LinkedIn.com, Anyintern.com, Internships.com, and Simplyhired.com to search for “writing internships.” Other key phrases to use: “Journalism internships,” “editing internships,” “technical writing internships,” etc.
In addition, a lot of communications, public relations, marketing, and advertising internships will involve writing, so keep an eye out for those as well.
