The Meaghan Gallagher Endowed Scholarship

The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance for new incoming, first-year, traditional undergraduate students who document financial need and an intended major in English, Creative Writing, Communication, Political Science, or Sociology, as well as a student who has an interest in Irish or other cultural traditions through any form of cultural engagement, such as participation in related community events, clubs or coursework.

For consideration, you must:

  • Be on track to graduate from a Denver-metro area public high school or from rural high school in Colorado
  • Have a minimum 3.0 high school GPA

  • Submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and document financial need

  • Plan to major in English, Creative Writing, Communication, Political Science, or Sociology

  • Demonstrate an interest in Irish or other cultural traditions through any form of cultural engagement, such as participation in related community events, clubs or coursework by providing a resume, personal statement and/or letter(s) of recommendation reflecting your involvement in Irish or other cultural traditions
     

This scholarship may be renewed if you:

  • Maintain a cumulative 2.75 GPA or higher as a Regis University student

  • Renew your FAFSA annually by March 1 and document financial need

  • Document your major in Communication, English, Creative Writing, Political Science or Sociology
